Intel and innovation with a design mindset.
Aaron M. Faust, Ph.D., founded Catalate LLC to apply his experience producing and delivering intelligence and conducting rigorous research and analysis to AI strategy and design. He also knows what it takes to incubate and scale innovation across large organizations.
Founder, Catalate LLC
Aaron spent 12 years in the State Department and Intelligence Community, where he served as an intelligence analyst, editor, manager, and data officer. He authored over 120 intelligence assessments—including for the President and cabinet officials—delivered more than 100 “deep dive” briefings for senior policymakers, and served as a daily intelligence briefer for the president’s counter-ISIS envoy and Near Eastern Affairs Assistant Secretary.
A certified facilitator and human centered design practitioner, Aaron built a 250-member organization of Harvard Business School executive leadership program graduates dedicated to internal innovation and reform at State.
After earning his Ph.D. in Middle East History and Statecraft, he published a history of Saddam Hussein’s Iraq based on hundreds of thousands of internal Iraqi documents and extensive secondary research.
